The efficiencies of non-production processes range between 50 to 80% in well optimized organizations. This means that your organization can easily gain 10 to 20% purely in operational effectiveness, starting with Process Design and its three contributing factors: Complexity/Redundancies, Poor Planning and Forecasting and Bottle Necks
To fix Complexity and Redundancies, we recommend that you create a Simple Process utilizing the Value Stream Mapping principles where: 1) All steps lead towards the final product to the customer, 2) Clear and reduced number of process steps and 3) Responsibilities are assigned.
